The government is introducing the Clean Heat Market Mechanism (CHMM) from 1 January 2024. Don’t you just love the catchy title? This means that gas boiler manufacturers will be fined by the government if insufficient heat pumps are installed in the UK. The manufacturers say the targets for heat pumps are unachievable so a number (Worcester, Baxi and Ideal) have decided to increase their prices by between £100-£150 from 1 January 2024 to pay for the fines they expect to receive.

Bristol City Council Private Rented Sector Strategy – Landlord Involvement
Bristol City Council are preparing a strategy for the Private Rented Sector and landlords are invited to participate. Members of ALLWESSEX will have received an email on 24 March relating to this. There will be a meeting on 31 March - details are in the email.
