More government meddling!! Now it’s war on gas boilers!

The government is introducing the Clean Heat Market Mechanism (CHMM) from 1 January 2024. Don’t you just love the catchy title? This means that gas boiler manufacturers will be fined by the government if insufficient heat pumps are installed in the UK. The manufacturers say the targets for heat pumps are unachievable so a number (Worcester, Baxi and Ideal) have decided to increase their prices by between £100-£150 from 1 January 2024 to pay for the fines they expect to receive.
