Although the details for the proposed extension to mandatory licensing are not currently known, Bristol City Council (BCC) have reviewed the fire standards for the existing mandatory licensing. Following discussions with Avon Fire & Rescue there have been some changes to the
fire safety standards in properties requiring a Mandatory HMO Licence. To see if this will affect your property then please check the new standards. These can be found at by clicking here.

If you are required to make any changes we have been informed that BCC will advise you of this on your licensing inspection and given time to comply.
