This course is designed for Landlords wishing to learn how to carry out safety checks themselves on the portable electrical appliances they provide for their tenants.

This comprehensive and practical training course includes:

  • Details of legislation
  • Electrical shock
  • Burn and fire hazards,
  • User checks
  • Formal visual inspections,
  • Combined inspection and testing,
  • Construction of Class 1, II & III portable electrical appliances
  • Fuse ratings
  • Electrical plugs
  • Testing computers
  • ICT / IT equipment
  • Power tools
  • IEC cords & extension leads
  • Record keeping
  • Test results and labeling equipment with PASS or FAIL labels

Candidates at the end of this course will be tested to ensure that you are a “Competent Person” to carry out these vital safety checks and then on satisfactory completion, certificates will be sent out to delegates with a PASS.
