Mendip District Council Enforcement Policy
For the attention of landlords with property in Mendip of Somerset area.
Mendip District Council would like your views on their proposed new enforcement policy.

The policy explains how they will work closely with landlords, home owners and residents and yet take robust enforcement action against those who don’t follow the law. The policy includes proposals for financial penalties of up to £30,000 as well as other financial sanctions where landlords have committed serious offences. The policy hopes to clearly show how the Council will go about their duties and use the full range of thir powers where needed.
The consultation is open until the 31st July 2018. If you are a landlord with property in The Mendip or Somerset area please let them know your views to help shape how they will undertake their future enforcement.
